Number 10 pops in for a cuppa
It’s not every day that InSinkErator sit down with the Prime Minister but that’s exactly what happened when David Cameron came to meet companies based at the Watford business park where InSinkErator has its UK headquarters.
InSinkErator’s Managing Director for Europe, Joe Ferrara, chatted to the PM about the company’s activities, including the promotion of food waste disposers as a means of reducing landfill.
Joe explained and familiarised Cameron with the InSinkErator products but was pleased to learn he already knew a lot about food waste disposers!
Joe said, “InSinkErator is writing to Mr Cameron to follow up on the meeting and further pursue the use of food waste disposers as a waste management tool to help the Government meet its environmental targets.”
Watford MP Richard Harrington was also present at the meeting, which was in support of the government’s interest in SME businesses parallel to Lord Young being tasked with a paper addressing the topic.
Perhaps the next move will be a food waste disposer in Number 10!
